    Looking more like a rematch!

With Oklahoma State going down in double overtime to Idaho State, its looking more and more like an LSU Bama or LSU Oregon rematch for the national title. That is if LSU can win the SEC and Bama and Oregon wins out.
IMO Bama and LSU would be a better game than LSU Oregon. What yall thank

If Arkansas beats LSU will they jump Alabama and/or Oregon in the BCS standings? If it's a 3 way tie in the SEC west the highest BCS ranked team goes to the SEC Championship game, right? The only way I see Oklahoma playing in the National Championship is if both Alabama and Oregon lose in the final two weeks/conference championship game. Oklahoma needed Oklahoma State to be undefeated when they played to have a chance to jump that high. If Arkansas beats LSU then they will for sure pass by Oklahoma IMO and Oklahoma won't have enough to pass both Alabama and Oregon without another loss. Oklahoma State will probably drop to #6 in the next BCS standings barring a loss by the rest of the top 6 and they will get passed by the Clemson/Virginia Tech winner in the ACC Championship.

i ment Iowa not Idaho haha. Its gonna take LSU loosing and Bama loosing for the SEC to not be in the national title race. If oregon wins out and Bama looses, itll be LSU vs Oregon rematch. If Bama and LSU wins out, itll be Bama vs LSU rematch. The three way tie would be something to see! Either way, Looks like the National Title will be in the SEC for what the 6th time in a row! Thats why the SEC is by far the best conference in NCAA

You should probably just say that the SEC West is the most competitive division in College Football, because the SEC East is a Joke. I thought UGA was gonna carry the torch for the East and maybe make the title game interesting, but they're struggling with hapless Kentucky as we speak.

You are right. I don't know what's going on in the SEC east but there way down as far as competition goes. As for the Bama/lsu rematch if both teams win out I just don't see how they can't put the two teams against each other! Their both heads & shoulders better than anybody else in the NCAA right now. Their last game was a classic & being there personally I'm not sure even now the "best" team won with Bama leaving 20pts on the field that night. Lsu welcomes a rematch per Les Miles quote.... So I say let the two best play again. Shot this one is a home game for Lsu too!

the SEC is by far the best conference in college football. say what you want about the East, but they have two top 15 teams, more than the ACC will have as a whole after today.

    You have:
    LSU-1
    Alabama-3
    Arkansas-6
    South Carolina-12
    Georgia-14
    Auburn-24

With the Clemson loss, the SEC East will have more top 15 BCS teams than the ACC (VT).

There's no way Oklahoma should Alabama, or be ahead of Arkansas if Arkansas beats LSU.
Oklahoma lost to TEXAS TECH FFS, a terrible team. Bama's only loss is a 3pt OT loss to LSU, Ark's only loss is to Alabama. Oklahoma will have one top 10 BCS win if they beat OSU, Alabama has one top 10 BCS win (Ark), Ark could potentially have a win over BCS #1, and LSU has TWO wins over BCS top 8 (Bama, Oregon) and could add one more over Arkansas.

Re: Looking more like a rematch!

I think if LSU wins the remainder of their games and the SEC championship, they should be national champs. There shouldn't be a national title game. They already played it and this is exactly why I'm not in favor of a plus 1 system. It makes no sense when it's not needed. 35 or so years ago, LSU would be crowned champs before going to play in a bowl game. This year, that is actually the correct call.

It sounds crazy, I'm aware of that, but just the fact that Alabama is already in the national title game with a win over Auburn and LSU isnt, shows a lot of flaws in the system.

Re: Looking more like a rematch!

Of course the SEC is the best conference, but just like most years, take away the top couple of teams in the west and you have another ACC.

BTW next week the SEC East's 3 best teams play ACC teams, so we'll be able to put that argument to rest next weekend.

    I'll say

    UGA>GT
    Clem>SC
    FSU>UF
